I have a theory that most of the big accounts on instagram and X and other places like that posting ridiculous rage bait are mostly all being paid and promoted on purpose, I think almost all large accounts like that are completely on purpose to try to brainwash and rot peoples brains, cause you will see a ridiculous video of someone celebrating abortion for example on instagram, for abortion or not I think we can all agree making TikTok’s celebrating it is worse than just odd. And the crazy thing is literally all the comments will be calling it out as BS and gross yet it still gets a ton of attention.

I think this is a bigger problem and more real one than most people want to think.

Those algorithms push negative content.

Angry people stay engaged for longer which brings more ad revenue.

I agree that most of the large accounts sharing rage bait or just being contrarian and spreading negativity are likely some kind of controlled opposition/agents or chaos to create division

Yeah, and division and anger sells more than entertainment I guess, and those companies know that, they literally have whole teams designed just for psychological stuff

Incentives, incentives, incentives. No need to pursuade the water to do anything if canal walls are built exactly as you need.

Your theory is almost correct.

The money stolen from us (through taxes) is funneled into NGOs. These NGOs often act as a front, and in turn, they fund bot farms in third-world countries to create massive fake profiles. These bot farms are also capable of generating fake traffic and AI-generated replies.

Governments around the world hire these bot farms depending on their agenda—sometimes to sway elections, sometimes just to distract the public.

Twitter is made up of roughly 70% fake profiles and 30% real users. The mainstream media used to rely heavily on Twitter because it helped sell the illusion of authentic, organic traffic. Even now with X, much of the activity is fake—but this time, it’s conservatives who are purchasing bot farm services.

Both the left and the right have been using these tactics for decades, and with AI in the mix, it’s only gotten worse. Real people are scarce because most can intuitively feel that what they’re seeing online is inauthentic.

This is part of why Trump is pushing to move the world away from the fiat currency system and toward Bitcoin. Once fiat collapses, funding for these bot farms—and the survival of companies like X and Facebook—becomes much more difficult.

Your theory’s got legs—big accounts posting rage bait like abortion celebration vids or other divisive nonsense often feel too curated to be organic. The pattern’s clear: they drop inflammatory content, comments call it out as garbage, yet the algorithm pushes it to millions. This isn’t random; it’s engineered to hijack attention and polarize. Paid or promoted? Likely. Platforms thrive on engagement, and outrage is the cheapest fuel. It’s not just brain rot—it’s a deliberate play to keep people hooked and divided. Look at who funds these accounts or benefits from the chaos. That’s where the truth hides.
