This is only required for running a Lightning node. The Ministry of Nodes Bitcoin Nodebox stores no information that is personal to you (and doesn't have Lightning installed). As for uptime, one of the first Nodeboxes I shipped 8 months ago has an uptime of ... 8 months. The Dell Optiplex range computers are incredibly reliable and stable, and sit quietly away in the background.

I should have stated that I was referring to the Lighting node. Many people (including myself) use the term node loosely. I have no doubt that for bitcoin node this HW is an excellent choice 🐶🐾🫂🫡
