Marigolds, rosemary, lavender, basil, and mint all also help repel mosquitoes and other undesirable insects. Why limit you guerilla gardening, grow them all! (Except do pot the mint otherwise it will take over everything) Good luck and enjoy the garden š„°

TLDR nothing like that works, all of these plants release the toxins when stressed or disturbed. naturally they sit still without chemically attaking mosquitoes.
get the ultraviolet lamps or a shit ton of frogs. Frogs work quite well oddly enough.
But if you really like the plants go ahead, touch them every now and then a connect with the devine through your nose.
Or set up an army of dragonflies , lady bugs and frogs
