hello smart nostriches, i've been on here a while but i still don't understand a few things, maybe you can help me with this list of #nostr related questions:

- are there a lot of bot accounts giving introductions, only saying "hello" or something along those lines? or are these real people (i assume a real person would say their name/pseudonym and tell us _something_ about themselves) 👋🤖

- is the "Update your status" updating the grey text near your name? is this a NIP i can read about? (maybe it's #amethyst or client specific?)

- what is with the laser eyes in profile pictures, does it have a meaning? does it just look cool? part of nostr culture? 👀

- what exactly are long form notes, is it just a note that is long? 📝

- does it cost money to do videos on here? i thought it did, but #vlogstr seems to be taking off right now 📹🚀
