when you share content on a centralized platform, you have to play by their rules.

idk why people are still surprised when they get deplatformed.

it obviously sucks for creators, as these platforms have the greatest reach, but perhaps it’s the pain we need for true alternatives to begin dominating.

There are other platforms?

Good point. Next step is self-hosted platform for content. But the problem here is network throughput for content consumption and storage requirements

My home, my rules. Simple than that.

“…these platforms have the greatest reach…” is why people stick with fiat. It’s easy, too easy. Our hodling is the easy part. We have to endure the pain of accepting and spending #Bitcoin. As you say, that’s “…the pain we need for true alternatives to begin dominating.”

Remember when everybody was posting shit somewhere?

That's when search engines where the kings, google becoming the no1 and dethroning yahoo and alta vista.

Now ironically google is less important, because you still can search "The platforms".

We need deplatforming, decentralication again.

Nostrs biggest usecase could be that of a decentralized search engine for content...

We need nostr crawlers

🙌🥂

Even if you follow all the rules (from your perspective) you can still be deplatformed from a centralized system if they think it’s in their business interest. This shouldn’t surprise anyone.
