Some people are just more anti-American and anti-Western than they are pro-freedom. So they've become deeply morally confused on matters such as this.

Agreed. I have also found that many believe that if the US dollar were to lose its status as the reserve currency, it’s a forgone conclusion that bitcoin will replace it.
