About to head to the gym.

Almost didn’t go the other day but I had a great workout.

Was pushing 5 plates aside for a leveraged leg press. It sounds like a lot but for context I’m only squatting around 2 plates. Sub 190lbs. Twigs for legs. 😃

I used to be a competitive figure skater so strong quads was essential. I count the weight of set up too.. I put 180 lbs of plates on (2 45’s on each side) but the platform and everything else adds up.

I go to two gyms and the other gym clearly states that without any plates, the starting weight is 146 or 156 lbs I’ll have to check it next so it indeed counts!

Yeah - 2 plates aside on a barbell is 225 (180 + 45). You’re pushing good weight nonetheless.

I think I am back to 6 aside for leg press. The 5 aside I was talking about is for a standing leg press but it’s highly levered. There is a Swedish machine— a plate aside kicks your as until you get used to it.

The standing leg press.. are you talking about a hack squat? I also do a duo squat pushing 185 lbs one leg at a time.

I’m not sure what this machine is called. Harder to explain. It does allow to push more weight than other machines comparatively.

Hmm take a picture of it.. I’m curious. Some machines and set ups I have no idea what they are called. On the hack squat I do 120 lbs so definitely less than what I do on the leg press and duo squat machine. However everyone is different.

I’ve never seen that before!!

It’s the same brand but not quite exact but very close to this one.
