What got me was when you hear stories of how much your parents could buy compared to today. It got me thinking about how the hours I work is earns me less over time - which means I have to constantly be on the lookout for more ways to earn the ever-depreciating-currency 🙃

The thought just kinda deflates you, you know? It sucks away some of the motivation to work and it makes the future look a bit gloom knowing that the wealth you accumulate will just leak as you get older and less able to work… making retirement seem like a joke.
