There is no statute of limitations for the crime of Murder for Hire. A charge can be reinstated.

There is zero chance, in my mind, that The State will allow Ross to live outside the walls of prison. The Murder for Hire charge in Maryland was dropped after Ross's sentencing in NYC. Unless it is included in a pardon, the commutation could be a set-up for the murdering of a spirit as the charge will undoubtedly be reinstated.

I have been wondering about the murder for hire and how that would play out

And if the state of Maryland brings that then a federal pardon wouldn't matter?

Trump has not promised to pardon him, but rather to commute his sentence. So his sentence was: 2 consecutive life sentences for the 5 charges plus 2 Kingpin charges carrying 20 years each. So the commutation does not declare him Not Guilty but rather acknowledges his guilt but exercises mercy on the sentence.

Double Jeopardy precludes The State from retrying a case after a verdict, but it does not prevent The State from bringing new charges. Given the charge was dropped, not dismissed, and it was used in sentencing, I'd bet on The House to win.

It's all so fucking gross. I'm glad I've never put a cent toward any of it from the fruit of my labor. I am innocent.

It is so fucking gross, for sure. Hopefully, Ross's team has game theoried this and sees potential moves from the state in order to combat them.

I was at Ross's trial the first day. I did not return at the request of Ross's mother who had received notice of a threat by Katherine Forrest to sequester the jury if the civil disobedience activists who were outside the court educating the public on Jury Nullification and declaring that owning a website is not a crime. Ross's defense threw him under the bus day 2 essentially doing The State's job by admitting to Ross's guilt. The Defense always should have presented "Bitcoin is speech packets and therefore protected under 1st and 4th Amendments" narrative. I believe Dratel was compromised.

Bitcoin is speech packets, I like that. Seems Dratel had repped mass murderers amd terrorists, but not a coder so makes me wonder if he even knew to use that as defense. And if he did, then yeah, looks sus.

And ty for the history lesson 🤙

If Jack Dorsey had not banned my account in late 2016, then zero it out, you'd have a firsthand account of Bitcoin from 2011 to 2016. He had to remove "The Bitcoin Storyteller" . . . who is a radical Capitalist. He is not.

There were several of us there who were all Bitcoin OGs who absolutely communicated that fact to Lyn. But she didn't grok. And she was excited about "the bombshell" that she was sure would endear the jury to Ross- Ross's admission that he created Silk Road and sold mushrooms on it, so therefore they MUST believe him that he no dealings with it for a long, long time, thus not guilty of deaths associated with drugs bought off it. It was a total shitshow.

Ah, yes, an admission of guilt in one matter definitely leads the human mind to assume innocence in the charges that matter 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank youuuuu!!!! I just belly laughed.

😂🫂

Unless he is granted a full pardon for all potential charges related to past offense, it will hang over his head like a noose. The fact this is not on the forefront of everyone tweeting #FreeRoss with hopes Trump commutes sentence (NOT a pardon) tells me people have learned nothing from the pain of people whose names they've never heard of, but without whom, they'd never know of Bitcoin.

Would a federal pardon matter if a state charges? The governor of that state would have to pardon, I think. I wonder if "all potential charges" was explicitly stated in the pardon, if Maryland then could not charge? I don't know how these things work, but this has definitely been on my mind.

The dude he “hired” to murder doesn’t believe that was the case. I don’t think the charge would stand up in court

Hmm, I see. I have only seen a docu and I don't think I have ever heard from the "hired" hand himself.

War of Attrition is a game played by those with nothing to lose and everything to gain. I'd rather know than just think or hope.

Well hopefully he fully pardons him. If he commutes, i'm sure Ross would appreciate it, if nothing else, for a shot at a trial outside the scam jurisdiction of New York. (If Maryland were to move forward)
