Career moms are such shit moms, fr.

A plague on the entire society.

If your children are sick, stay your ass home.

If your children are depressed, stay your ass home.

If your children are getting bad grades, stay your ass home.

If your children have disabilities, stay your ass home.

fully agree on that one. having three kids. c

Love the saltiness in this! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Please do carry on with this rant, absolutely true all the way

The smartest trick the Devil ever played, was popularizing the idea of "quality time". Like, how idiotic do you have to be, to think you can cram valuable time with your children into time slots? As if "being a mom" can be planned into your day like it's a teleconference?

Oh, we are going to have 15 minutes of quality time, now, kids, and then Mommy has important worksheets to fill out. โ˜บ๏ธ

yeah, it's not quality without the end being bedtime

I just know that I will never lie on my deathbed and think, "Wow, I wish I had dumped my kids in the childcare center and spent more time at the office."

Exactly.

I'd stay with my kids no matter what, but the Mom who was always there for her kids will find her kids at her deathbed. The Mom that didn't have time for her kids will find that her kids don't have time to visit her on her deathbed.

๐Ÿซ‚

So no point looking forward to my kids being at my deathbed. Got it.

I stay at home to raise my dog ! .. no really .. she hates when I step outside ..without her .. and she likes to sit in my lap when I am on computer .. ๐Ÿ˜‚

So important

BTDT โ€ฆ live your best salty bitch your way & allow the rest of us to choose not to be one. Peace โ˜ฎ๏ธ

Everything changed when my mom was forced to work.

๐Ÿซ‚

My ability to work and earn a high wage has always been highly restricted by having kids, but it's worth it.

You can work, later. You cannot mother your kids, later.

Your greatest investment is your kids

๐Ÿ’ฏ

I agree. But do you say the same thing about career dads?

Absolutely not.

Why? What is the difference when taking care for your family?

He has a penis.

Well, theoretically, at least. I haven't checked in every particular instance or measured, or whatever.

What does that have to do with the price of rice in China?

Mothers and fathers are physiologically different and their responsibilities lie, therefore, under different focus. Even if they are capable of subsistuting each other.

I resent anyone who question my mothering ability ๐Ÿ˜ณ

That's okay. Wait until you find out how much I question your sanity.

Itโ€™s sort of a given that I am mad. But how insane must I be to accept societyโ€™s definition of my role.

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿซก

Not the words I would've chosen, but I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment.

๐Ÿ˜…

LG is like... Excuse your French, but agree. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿค™

Operator I would like to report a murder!!

๐Ÿซ‚

Lol I think you need to just go home and relax. But, seriously you're right. Making a woman be a stay-at-home mom will only increase the likelihood of her becoming resentful of her kids.

I feel sorry for anyone who is so depraved that they are resentful for spending time with their own offspring.

I've met some VERY selfish parents who act that way! They just constantly want their kids out of their hair 24/7. It's even worse when those kids enter their teenage years and you witness how spoiled they've become.

Well, there's more than one way to be a bad parent.

Lol... did I take your original post out of context?

Perhaps.

My bad. It's very interesting reading through this thread, though. It's always fascinating to hear about everyone's unique experiences with parenting. My mom was never a career mom in the context you meant. She just worked some part-time job at a local food store while my dad brought home 98% of all the bacon. Still, she only worked for like 10 or 12 hours a week, sometimes less, while the rest of her time was spent caring for my sister and I. So, I guess you could say that she was a "career mom"๐Ÿ˜…. Also, as someone who grew up with a workaholic dad, I have to say that career dads can be just as bad. Believe me, i did not like being a "substitute father" after my sister was born.

Working alone doesn't make you a career woman. It's a mindest.

Guess I'm translating from the German "Karrierefrau".

I wasn't trying to say that it does. That's true.

Ngl, at times, it can be kind of difficult for me to tell if your being sarcastic or are legit annoyed in your posts๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿซก. Lol๐ŸซฃI initially thought your original post was just a sarcastic rant about being stuck at home too often.

There are plenty

Maybe you donโ€™t have a teenager yet.

I have an 17 year-old and a 19 year-old.

And I like them.

I can respect that.

But the most important thing is to stack fiat and be โ€œsuccessfulโ€โ€ฆ Of course the dad could also show the fuck up.

One salary is usually not enough anymore
