Need to make a choice between an entry-level tech support job and a higher paying sales job next week. I'm thinking one more cycle of balls-out fiat mining... or is that what everyone always says - just one more?

Whatever you love more, time > Bitcoin imo

Very true. Tech job would just be customer support and reporting bugs to engineers, but I'd be able to grow into a more challenging role according to the person I interviewed with. Not a Bitcoin job, but would get me going in the right direction I think. Sales job would get me lots of sats.

Time is the most scarce asset we have as humans.

That’s what everyone says, but as long as you can maintain a healthy balance and enjoy your life, there’s nothing wrong with fiat mining. Bitcoin is still incredibly cheap.

Balance is key, good point.

helping or shilling?

2 very different jobs for 4 years lol

i would fiat mine the more enjoyable job where possible

Good distinction 😂

I'd be selling machine parts to industrial manufacturing and repair customers. I've done similar before, and I could always sleep at night... not selling useless junk to plebs or anything. I think both jobs could be fun in their own way.

nice!

when I worked on helpdesk for telco and internet, we always got pissed at the telemarketing team tactics and lies 😂

If you're stacking sats, you're mostly working for yourself. Just something to think about..🧡😊🚀♾️🗽

Which one will you hate? Don't do that one.

🤯

What is your long term goal?

I want to work in Bitcoin, and keep developing my technical experience to where I can work in a Sysadmin or Development role at a Bitcoin company. That will take some more time. I can keep learning about that field in my spare time even if I take the sales job, but being in a technical support role will probably speed up that learning process.

Find a bitcoin project you really like and join that community in the meantime. Lurk and ask questions. A great initial goal would be setting up whatever developer environment is needed and building the software. Seems daunting but a lot of communities are good at onboarding.

Imho. If you can take the fiat pay cut, do the technical job and focus on learning. Use that job to upscale yourself technically.
