I once had to sleep on the floor at Chicago O'Hare airport because a connecting flight took off before our delayed landed.
A couple of years ago I spent the night in a Canadian airport on a trip to Norway. After settling into a quiet spot in a mostly closed down airport and a few hours a sleep airport security rounded up all the people and herded us into a small room. For our safety in case there was a fire they said. Good luck!
