I drive a hybrid. We bought it in Spring of 2022 when US fuel prices had skyrocketed. I'm renewing my license plate tag, and see this: a newly added "electric vehicle" fee. It's almost double the actual "wheel tax," which is the purported purpose of the fee. This, despite all of the propogandizing about the importance of electric vehicles.
