I remember visiting Morro Bay and by the shore there are rocks where squirrels will come out and literally jump on your shoes and grab your leg to beg for food. They were so used to humans there.

That’s how the squirrels were on my college campus. It was almost scary
We had a squirrel visit us on our balcony every day and scratch at our glass door for some food. My wife named it and it was our outdoor pet 🤣
Man I wish I could still do that around my home. My dogs will not tolerate it 😭
Out of all the animals they brought here I'm disappointed squirrels weren't one of them.
We have sugar gliders, very similar creatures but hard to make friends with.
None of the small marsupials are tame or friendly.
Sugar gliders are sooooo cool, but the nocturnal element makes them a little more difficult to woo wouldn’t you say?
