I put out peanuts daily for a blue Jays, crows and a few squirrels that live in our live oak.
One little guy plays with our dog. He does backflips off the fence over her and races to the treehouse ladder.
I swear squirrels live to fuck with dogs ๐
A close family to us - we had a nickname for his dad, squirrel master, based in the Tommy Chong character in Half Baked. An honor he holds still to this day. Like a knighting, it carries on forever.
I think it is an honor to grant you the title: squirrel master, which you have rightfully earned, well deserved ๐ฟ๏ธ ๐

I am truly honored ๐ฅน๐ซ
I remember visiting Morro Bay and by the shore there are rocks where squirrels will come out and literally jump on your shoes and grab your leg to beg for food. They were so used to humans there.
Thatโs how the squirrels were on my college campus. It was almost scary
We had a squirrel visit us on our balcony every day and scratch at our glass door for some food. My wife named it and it was our outdoor pet ๐คฃ
Man I wish I could still do that around my home. My dogs will not tolerate it ๐ญ
Out of all the animals they brought here I'm disappointed squirrels weren't one of them.
We have sugar gliders, very similar creatures but hard to make friends with.
None of the small marsupials are tame or friendly.
Sugar gliders are sooooo cool, but the nocturnal element makes them a little more difficult to woo wouldnโt you say?
