What's the basis for claiming these drones weigh 600lbs? The one that crashed into someone's backyard the other day was recovered by police who said it was pretty standard, consumer-grade drone, and not a larger military drone.

the one that crashed got 'downgraded' to a well ess call ๐Ÿ˜‚

I don't know what that means. They recovered the drone and released a statement saying it was a consumer-grade drone, and not something larger, such as a military drone.

its police scanner lingo for, forgetabouttit

It was on the scanner. You're thinking about the call reporting the crash, and subsequent chatter about it from the cops. The statement was released the day after. I'll see if I can find it.

Officials determined the craft was โ€œa hobby or toy type of droneโ€ and โ€œnot a large commercial or military grade drone,โ€ the Pequannock Police Department told The Post.

The mayor of Pequannock, Ryan Herd, told The Post โ€œit is definitely notโ€ one of the massive, car-size drones that purportedly have been hovering overhead.
