I would think that a metallurgist would do well here.

Fun fact, silver is a universal antimicrobial. Silver travel cups should be the standard.

Germ or terrain, whichever theory you subscribe to, silver cups are effective.

Me and my brother talked about making silver chalices by hand after seeing a bunch of nice old silver dishes in a museum. Would be so cool.
