Good morning friends.

I’ve got exciting news to share…

Recently, I decided I needed to change my life. For the longest time now, I’ve woken up, worked for eight hours, been a husband to my wife, and a father to my children. Then I go to sleep and do it all again the next day.

Granted, every parent and partner goes through seasons of life just like I described. But lately, I’ve wanted more. I came to the realization that if I was going to grow as an individual and take my family’s wellbeing beyond what it is now, I needed to make a change. I needed to do something different.

I decided it was time to pursue something that would allow me to be creative with the potential to produce more resources for my family. For me, that has always been photography.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve decided to pursue photography creatively and professionally.

This is what I’m starting with; my late stepfather’s camera. A Canon EOS Rebel T5 with two kit lens.

I don’t know exactly where this decision and journey will take me. But I’m here for the ride. I would be most grateful to have all of this community’s support, wisdom, and guidance in this new chapter I’m entering.

Thanks for reading and I’ll be sharing my works soon. ✌🏻

Kudos to you man! The world needs your creative expression!

I feel that when you are intentional with creating and expressing your inner world, you naturally find yourself exactly where you’re meant to be

Best of luck on the journey!

Thank you! I appreciate your insight. 🙏🏻

Congrats man, I really admire your courage 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks so much!

Good luck!

Thank you! 🙏🏻

I got there a few years ago and never looked back.

Be careful, it's addictive. Every hour that I spend photographing family and sharing my passion on vacations is complemented with hours post processing (wait until you branch into video) and learning more about my craft on YouTube (or simply following those renowned photographers).

Then there's GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome). You'll love you T5 like I did my first SL3, and soon you'll want a full frame mirrorless body and better glass.

None of the above said to put you off - it's a fun, addictive, and rewarding hobby that you can hone for years to come. Just remember why you started in the first place and remember that gear really doesn't matter - it's the love of art that is photography.

P.S. I made the jump to 35mm film and home development. My family appreciates that I'm a little intense about my hobby 😃

Thanks for sharing this Rob. I will remember your wisdom. 🫂

You’ve already got my support ‘cause I can’t figure out how you took a photo of the camera you’re going to be taking photos with…with the camera your going to be taking photos with 🤯
