The #Canadian federal government announces that they're pivoting to being "digital first" and "digital by design".

The newly appointed Citizens' Services minister, Terry Beech pointed out that being digital first doesn't mean there won't be in-person services but people can get services completely online.

He said that in the near future Canadians wouldn't need to go to the Passport Office to get their passports renewed.

Good grief. I cannot imagine 'artificial intelligence' will make dealing with the federal government any easier, since *actual* intelligence is already sufficiently questionable, eg: blaming citizens for data theft when CRA records are breached, etc. šŸ™„
