Is #Amber not connecting to relays for some reason? It displays all of the default relays as offline and throws an error that the hostname doesn't resolve.

It sends me one request, after another, until I force-stop the app and clear the cache.

That seems to help. At least, get a relay connection, again. Let me do another test.
the permutations and testing required just to login to something on nostr, and the fragility.. it's what made me stick with nip07/paste. most won't login anyway they are busy influencin' from their centralized nsecs. and even if they did, there would be bugs.

Well, that's why I have the browser extension and npub-only options. They always work well, and npub-only is enough, unless you want to post a note, since I then generate keypairs, on the fly, so that you can zap and react and stuff, and AUTH to relays, anonymously.
tbh, those other signer methods just flake out in so many ways. i gave up as a regular user before even trying to add support.

We've identified partner apps and partner relays and partner libraries, and we're making our own Nostr-Stable-Version ecosystem. And I just test that interoperability and basta.

Nah, we know. We also weren't sure if we want to open source our stuff, as it's mostly just a ploy to milk individual developers for IP, without having to pay them anything.
OSS works when there is mutual benefit to all involved stakeholders.

many corporate backed OSS projects fall into two categories: products, or “standards”
products almost always get rugged with BSL or some other license anyway, example MongoDB, ScyllaDB, Hashicorp stuff
“standards” are one company having a problem, solving it, and open sourcing it in the hopes they get other adopters
this then gives them free contributions
examples are FDB, a bunch of the forks like OpenTofu/OpenBao, Kubernetes, Envoy, etc.
there just is some serious fundamental errors in the design of almost everything. it needs a do-over
i dont believe in do-overs, not for this. it is pretty much this or nothing for me. if they wanna throw that effort away by being aloof and roadblocking themselves with their own funds, whatever..

the fundamentals of the design are good - networked database query and subscription system. the details are all bad. json, websockets. everything is the absurdly worst complex way of doing the above as possible.

Hostname errors are usually DNS issues, if you have a device like a Samsung or xiaomi or any device with mediatek chipsets I see a lot of this happening in random apps and usually rebooting fixes it
How are you login to the web apps? Just scanning the qr code from coracle on the desktop for example?
I'll do more tests with my device and I'll try to see if I have some other device that's not a pixel to see if I can reproduce the issue

I think the QR reader is also broken. Jumble only works with the camera and then pasting in the code.
This error is what I see all the time now on graphene pixel with amber connected with tor.

Okay, let me try that. I tried Nostr-Tools and Nostrconnect and the AI tried something. Nothing worked. No idea.
Also couldn't figure out what the address should look like or what relays to try or which kind numbers to use.
This is so confusing and difficult to do that the AI has twice refused to continue.
