Went out. Did hard things. Back at the house after hiking 7 miles w 30lbs.…4.5 miles on a fucked up foot.

I knew my new shoes felt a little funny but I ignored what my body was telling me yesterday. Turns out you cant push through with improper insoles.;pain accumulates. Lesson learned.

I live in leather hiking boots. Asolos. They are nowhere near barefoot - but I feel absolutely indestructible from the ankle down. My current pair have at minimum 1000km of trail use on them.

I plan on taking a stab at the Appalachian Trail soon in May… I tend not to like my feet sweating in leather boots, but it may be necessary.
