I'm annoyed by Russian wines having cork stoppers. Why not plastic?! It's not a top-tier wine; it won't last more than two years, maybe not even more than a year. Why does it need a cork stopper? I've been told why. When they use plastic stoppers, sales drop because Russians have a stereotype that plastic stoppers are only for cheap products.

Why have plastic touching the wine? I'm in favor of less plastic everywhere.

Why do you prefer plastic?

Easy to remove

Easy to reinsert

Does not crumble

Does not absorb

Fair enough, I transfer to a mason jar if it has a cork. If I'm going to have plastic, it may as well have a screw top.

Anything plastic is the distinctive feature of cheap products.
