Or you can source low PUFA eggs from Nourish Coop, which is currently the only commercial operation existing that does specifically low linoleic acid eggs.
Awesome, thanks! Iβve previously looked into Angel Acres, but the eggs were pretty expensive at $2/egg plus shipping. Maybe itβs worth it, but I decided to try to build a local pipeline for now.
That Grok conversation is super helpful. I wrote down the summary to share with my local source:

No sunflower seeds or avocado pits, tho. Macadamia and coconut are special for their high sat fat contents. Sunflower seed and avocado do not share that quality.
Ah, I should have added the PUFA trade-off when I mentioned sunflower seeds and avocado pits as alternatives. Itβs good to know what a gold standard might look like, but I added those alternatives to give my local suppliers some leeway to keep their costs low.
I just talked to my egg supplier today and she said that supposedly the pumpkin seeds also double as a natural dewormer, so that may be something to consider as well.
Just so you know those would undermine the entire goal.
I agree, it would no longer be a low-PUFA diet.
This strictness and quality of this low-PUFA diet makes it evident why eggs could be $24/dozen. You get what you pay for.
Yes. It's hard and expensive.
TBH tallow might be the most affordable fat to use.

Black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) are going to be better than both crickets and mealworms and should be less expensive if buying, or more efficient to raise if farming them.
