As we get close to the holidays, I’ve decided to work on some “healthier“ and “carnivore friendly” desserts. I’ll put on nostr:npub1xxdd8eusvdxmaph3fkuu9x2mymhrcc3ghe2l38zv0l4f4nqp659qskkt7a once it’s been taste tested. #carnivorediet #keto

Curious...why not just whip your own whipped cream? One ingredient....heavy cream. Or you could add vanilla or coco perhaps.
I just saw the recipe and wanted to try it as is first. The whipped cream is sugar free, as is the chocolate jello. The sugar and carbs come from the crust and the other ingredients not shown. I will make note of ways to cut down the sugar when posting the recipe. That is a good idea though. I may have to try that too.
Enjoy
Libertyfarmer mentioned to make my on whip cream using Heavy Whipping Cream. I will try that next time. I’ve been doing carnivore for 10 weeks or so and looking for ideas for holidays. Found this on a keto social media post and it looked to be “carnivore friendly.” What’s your thoughts? Alway appreciate feedback.
I don’t see how it can be carnivore friendly based on the ingredients? I mean it’s a treat, who cares. Lol
Basing my classification on low carbs and low sugar. I get carnivore is meat only….but feel like this will prevent your body from exiting the ketosis stage, which is where you wind up with carnivore. I’m not an expert by any means but feel like this is an okay treat that won’t mess 12 weeks of carnivore up. Grateful for your feedback. 🫂
Gotcha. No biggie.
Carnivore is actually most typically animal based. Meat, butter, cream, etc…
Some do milk, some don’t. It’s animal based, but has a higher sugar content.
Yes, cream is going to be more carnivore than the other choice. It's a safe bet. If you want it sweet, you can try adding 10 g or so of granulated glycine, an amino acid from animals that has a sweet taste and is used in keto cooking. Add the sweetener to the cream and stirl to completely dissolve before whipping it. It takes a bit longer than sugar.
Honestly I think it Will be plenty sweet with just heavy cream. Before putting it in a pie crust, I did a test batch and used just a little 2%milk because I didn’t know the whipping cream would get so thick and everyone loved it. I will certainly skip the store bought and try making my one next time
Thanks for the feedback. 🤙🏻🫂
Yeah, this...Cool Whip is basically all seed oil
