Is rice just doomed to be hard and shitty after refrigeration, or am I missing some magical way to get it fluffy again?

What are you storing it in?

For me it can get fluffy and good again if I store in a sealed container and then heat it up for use.

I think I needed to cover it better while reheating. I added water but I think the a damp paper towel as others have suggested might have worked.

I guess put it back to a rice cooker with a bit of water for few mnts

I've had luck with reheaing with water in the container and then cover with air tight lid or cover with wet paper towel

A little water, maybe a half shot glass in the container and microwave till hot 😎

I think I needed more water and the damp paper towel method.
