Kiwix is kind of fun.
You can use it host your own offline copy of wikipedia and other reference libraries and share it on your network.

yep! I run kiwix on my home server. has full wikipedia with pictures, bitcoinpedia., some sports wikis, and stack overflow. The wikipedia offline is insanely fast, instant vs wikipedia over the internet too.
This is very interesting to me! I am going to try to run community servers for my small town, would Kiwix be able to give access to a larger group too?
I guess it depends on the size. Why not just use wikipedia for that? Having local only rally makes sense for one intranet, backups of info, and internet outages.
This is a very cool idea!!! A lot of my Sovereignty Salon is in the permaculture guild and one of the reasons they're so stuck on Facebook is because it's what they always used to share these types of things. I wonder if I could get a digital town reference library going 🤔
