Yuval is one of the conscious bad actors. Much like Brad Sherman talking about bitcoin threatening the petro-dollar, Yuval says the quiet part out loud all the time. He has a god complex. He would probably say that the world can only be made better if people like him can amass the power to force "better" things onto the world. It makes perfect sense that he would be opposed to #bitcoin.

People who want to force trusted interactions on people only want to do so in order to gain the ability to violate that trust. Honest people do not require trust, they do not seek the confidence of others as validation at all. They simply create useful things & provide proof of work.

I don't think I am overstating things to say that this man is a decent representation of evil in human form. You can see why it might be loosely confused with rational intelligence. But he is motivated by a desire for power & control & envy, rather than a desire to create & earn anything. Only one of those paths is actually rational & intelligent.

Yes, evil.

Maybe it's also lacking basic understanding of money which is a medium of trade without trust.

Are you suggesting Harari is lacking understanding?

Maybe. Or just twisting words. We need proper money to trade without needing trust.

With what I know of and about Harari, twisting words would be my suspicion.

Considering the guy wrote Homo Deus. (With the subtext basically being only some will fulfill the "deus" part)

He's one of the most open totalitarians the WEF has.

Most of us were wrong about Bitcoin when we first looked at it.

We made assumptions based on our perception, beliefs & past experiences.

I'd be careful about labelling people good or evil. There are light & dark forces operating in this realm but people aren't inherently good or evil. The line between good & evil runs through a man's heart. We can both create & destroy with our hands & experience what that feels like. That is the gift of free choice.

His perception of Bitcoin says a lot about his current manifested experience. Ironically so does your judgement of him.

You ever listen to anything else that man says?

No - until a couple of days ago, I didn't know he existed.

What I know is that in every war, both sides thought they were fighting evil. I know that the separation - The Us & Them, is an illusion.

At the end of the day, there is only ever you and I, and we are both One.

I'm tired of the division & the fighting. He will experience the outcome of his actions. If not in his lifetime, another.

Bitcoin was a gift to help humans learn to co-operate again.

Know that I'm not judging you Jeff & that I wouldn't say what I'm saying if I didn't think you could receive it's deeper meaning. ๐Ÿงก

No he's actually right. Everything a normal person would consider to be evil, Yuval is that, espouses that. He espouses slavery, genocide, dystopian technocracy. He's a terrible person, and his opposition to Bitcoin is consistent with his desire to control everyone.
