I know right? I moved to a new npub and it went fine. Sure I lost a bunch of "followers" but that metric is meaningless on nostr.

For sure. On platforms your follower count is everything. Like, there are certain things you can't do without a high enough number. People count on that number to make a living. It's retarded.
