To all of the people surprised by this news who thought Milei would not expand IMF financing after literally making the guy that negotiated the largest IMF loan in history his minister of economy, I would once again like to know if you are fucking stupid

The answer is always ‘yes’

Easy to say yes. If he says no he becomes an "enemy of the west" and they send in the jackals

$20 billion. Is that a lot of money?

Need interest rate details and what's the collateral to judge if this was stupid

This. A cheap 20 billion dollar loan buys a lot of bitcoin.

Wow..crazy …who could’ve seen this coming?

My favorite journalists are the ones that call their audience stupid and retards. Keep up the good work!

yes

At this point Argentine and IMF relations are a joke

more than 55% loans from the IMF currently are to Argentina xD

but idk, somehow it seems the current administration might use the money to remove enough taxes to improve Argentina.

Time will tell and I have mixed feeling about my hated to the IMF and the great work Milei has done so far to remove a TON of stupid laws

for instance today he removed one that

"Placed a maximum production volume on agriculture tea and yerba plantations."

Like WTF it was actually ilegal to produce over a certain point of Tea, in areas where the only thing those areas produce and can produce is Tea due to climate advantages
