Love “On Having No Head”

Yes and his other stuff is good too

Highly recommend “Everything you need to know but have never been told” by David Icke

Also found “The Psychic Pathway” by Sonia Choquette a really practical guide to reconnecting to and trusting your intuition ✨ #bookstr

John Lennox books are amazing!!

“God and Stephen Hawking”, “Gunning for God”, “2084”, “Being Truly Human”, Suffering Life’s Pain”, God’s Undertaker”, “Finding Ultimate Reality”, and so many more! Lennox has debates Singer, Dawkins, Hitchens and Adkins.

All of his debates, along with countless other videos, are on YouTube.

He’s by far more favorite author. The evidence that he gives on life, reality, meaning and purpose is second to none!

Snow crash is great

Not sure on libertarian fiction

Have you seen #[4] is here?

Nope. Followed 🤝

Hyperion Cantos series by Dan Simmons. Absolutely some of my favorite books.

Honorable mention for the Galactic Center Saga by Gregory Benford. Some of the later books in the series started to feel tired, even though the premise was cool. But Across The Sea Of Suns stood out as the best book in that series and one of my favorites in general.

Love the Hyperion series. Will def check out the others

I don't think there's anything else I've read in the genre quite as well written. Considering Simmons isn't even an exclusive science fiction writer, the concepts and the research are really quite astounding. Some of his other work is amazing too, Olympos series and more recently, The Terror. Real high art, literature science fiction 👌

A great sci fi book: the forever war by Joe Haldeman.

Enders game #Bookstr

Love Enders Game and Speaker of the Dead. Have yet to read the others in the series

They’re all good

Mandibles

“We Are Legion” series by Dennis Taylor. Audiobook versions are awesome, narrated by Ray Porter. Same narrator who did Weir’s Project Hail Mary. 💯 #Bookstr

Anything from him is good 👍

He’s good! Also really enjoyed Roadkill by Dennis Taylor. Quick fun sci-fi read.

Since I only recently discovered this book (late to the party apparently) I’d have to say “The Mandibles” by Lionel Shriver. Perhaps there are still others who haven’t heard of the best “Bitcoin book” ever. #Bookstr

Fantastic rec

Sci-fi: the moon is a harsh mistress.

Dystopian: Atlas Shrugged

Bitcoin: Bitcoin Red Pill

#bookstr

Love the first two. Hadn’t hear of Bitcoin Red Pill yet. I’ll check it out. Thanks

Bitcoin red pill was written by two Brazilian early adopters and was recently translated into English.

It’s a punch in the face. 😀

A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Miller Jr. - fascinating sci fi work exploring the relationship between Church and State (amongst other deeper motives) but not with the usual and very tired tropes of "church is evil and anti-science, iirrational, trust The Science" propaganda that we're used to expecting.

It doesn’t fit into those categories (perhaps the most related is Philosophy), but if you want your brain to explode read The Beginning of Infinity by David Deutsch. Here’s the description:

“In this groundbreaking book, award-winning physicist David Deutsch argues that explanations have a fundamental place in the universe—and that improving them is the basic regulating principle of all successful human endeavor. Taking us on a journey through every fundamental field of science, as well as the history of civilization, art, moral values, and the theory of political institutions, Deutsch tracks how we form new explanations and drop bad ones, explaining the conditions under which progress—which he argues is potentially boundless—can and cannot happen. Hugely ambitious and highly original, The Beginning of Infinity explores and establishes deep connections between the laws of nature, the human condition, knowledge, and the possibility for progress.”

I'm currently slogging my way through Conceived in Liberty Vol. I-IV.

Alright, I'll take the bait and make some self-promotion (disclaimer). My new #Bitcoin book is now available for pre-order, an advanced analysis of the fundamentals behind cryptoassets and the underlying risks as of 2023.

"Understanding Crypto Fundamentals: Value Investing in Cryptoassets and Management of Underlying Risks"

Release early June, published with Apress (part of Springer Nature group). #Bookstr
