I'm pretty sure it's the fact they won't give away, what I'm assuming was tap water in a piece of cardboard. Then have the balls to charge $8 for a coffee worth 50¢

I walk my dog everywhere and I tend to spend more money in the places that offer bowls of water outside or have water and dog treats available to customers. Itâs a stupid business move not to do it.
And by âcustomersâ I also mean potential customers. Itâs not like I havenât given Starbucks a fuck ton of money in the past. Even if their products and service are complete garbage, sometimes itâs the only option. But because I hadnât spent any money there yet today, they wonât offer a cup of water, which is something theyâve done for decades. So they can just fuck off.
Thatâs called a loss-leader and itâs been around forever. The problem is when people abuse it and the the added sales arenât overcoming the loss. The right fucking thing to do that isnât taught anymore by degenerate moochers is to reciprocate and just buy something from the business. If that had happened, Starbucks wouldnât have had to adopt this policy.
They could also do things like improve their products, but I doubt thatâs even possible with their current scale.
Any excuse to support local is fine! đđđŤ
