The approved censorship of zaps on notes of Damus like it is a win for Nostr 👀👀
Ah, yeah, I don't think people are happy about the Damus situation. I think they're overly fond of Apple phones. I never understood it. My employer forces me to carry an iPhone, but I barely use it. Apple can suck a dick, to be honest. They're not as great as people say, and this Damus controversy is only going to weaken people's opinion of Apple.
Thankfully, no matter how hard censors try, they can't censor reality. Reality makes sure they get their dues.
The win for Nostr IMO is that the “client” is irrelevant and always has been. Clients will be censored, ‘we’ are not. This is an early proof point. I use an IPhone, The gatekeeper said ‘No’, and yet, I still zap. I’m using a different client, all the people I follow are here, and my followers still recieve my messages. My DMs go with me. And I zap. Like having your 12/24 words memorized where you can bring your BTC with you where ever you go. I can bring my Nostr friends with me wherever I go, any client. While gate keepers censoring a client used to mean the end, it is now irrelevant. The clients will be like cockroaches, It’s an attack yes, but because the attack fails to disrupt my behavior, it only shows how strong Nostr is. I know you know this. This is proof of Nostr.
