@MatthewSpeak @brazen_unicorn @GibranStormcrow @freethinking100 @IckyVickyEww @Not_Meis @zachsilberberg a 6 year old can't consent to a kidney transplant. because a 6 year old doesn't know what kidneys are, can't comprehend the ramifications, simply not able to understand. Consent must be informed consent or it is meaningless. One must understand the issue in order to decide.

These concepts are not new or difficult for them. They are not small children. 16 year olds are perfectly capable of deciding for themselves if, when, and with whom to have sex.

When young people become able to give or deny informed consent they should be legally allowed to consent.
