Or speak in code or a dialect.

You can always bend (not break) the protocol rules.

Whether you SHOULD… is a different question.

I think you should not with regard to Bitcoin.

Can I stop it? No.

Whether or not BIP-444 is a reasonable attempt remains to be seen, however I think that reasonable defaults as to what arbitrary data is allowed on-chain should be an active debate until consensus is reached.

I have to say that I don't understand the position of those who say that nothing can be done about spam or arbitrary data in general.
