Tough to do it here, without knowing what jurisdiction you live in and how old your kids are, but I will say that “mandated” curriculum is a guideline, and in the schools I’ve worked in and the teachers I work with,we have bigger issues to deal with than these sort of topics. If they are brought up, it’s a very small part of one class, parents are always involved, and parents can opt out of any topics if it does not align with their values. But, I’m speaking from my perspective, which may be very different from where you live.
that sounds like a healthy balance
tbh they’ll probably be headed to small (church affiliated) schools where I’ll just be able to pull them out and take them to a game whenever I want 😂
50/50 which one of us gets called into the principals office first
🤣 I pull my kids out all the time, as their holidays don’t align with mine. They attend a different school, than where I work.Their teachers love me🤷♂️
From my perspective, if you are an active participant in the upbringing of your children, the values you teach your children at home will be the foundation and much more important than what they learn at school. There many things we disagree with, and we teach are kids that this okay.
