For those who enjoy attempting to orange pill people, what are the main reasons people are hesitant to pull the trigger?

#Asknostr

- Think it’s a scam?

- They are too late and missed the boat?

- Don’t know how to buy?

- Too technical?…

I’m surprised at how many ppl are unwilling to even get off zero. I want to understand some reasons why people are hesitant and see what resources there are or lack there of, that could assist with adoption.

The major obstacle people face when thinking of buying bitcoin is their thinking.

People have been programmed on what to think.

That's if they mange to think 🙄

You cannot orange pill someone else. The harder you try, the more they will push back. This is hooman behavior.

Orange pilling can only be done by oneself. Understanding austrian economics, history of money and the usual things is an altogether different thing.

So an understanding of the problems that we face is the first step? I agree 100% people should understand the details of the problem. I think people can arrive at the solution without a detailed understanding of all those things. Although, a basic understanding of Austrian economics, history of money etc should point them in the direction of the solution that is bitcoin.

So what tools would you use to help educate? “Broken Money” by Lyn?

My point is that education is not required for most.

If it works, and if it’s a great experience people will just use it. If we get the tech right, we have a chance of winning.

Those of us who go down the 🐇🕳️ are not representative of most folks.

Psycology. No one wants to be told what to do unless it is by an authority. If you can make yourself look authoritative to them, then they'll listen, but we understand that empowering means talking face to face and not down to someone.

It's a paradox, I refuse to take responsibility for someone else's decisions but I also want to open your mind to opportunities.

I’m not coming at it from a “do as I say” point of view. But for those who are slightly interested and/or can feel the pain of the fiat world, how can we improve on the on-boarding process?

That's my point, people want you to come from a "do as I say" point of view.

Honestly, I'm still working on my family, but I think persistence, patience and consistency is key.

You can't do it in a single sitting, anyone who "orange pilled" their taxi driver did no such thing, they gave them a wallet and told them to learn more and the driver took the free money because they had nothing to lose. They still got paid for driving in fiat.

Too technical

Don’t understand why they need it

Living to max. No extra cash 😅
