i've always thought: lesser quality animal based foods are better than non-animal based foods.

But what do you think?

for instance, someone has limited access/resources for grass finished beef, raw dairy, pastured raised chicken/eggs, etc. Should they:

• buy whatever they can of the good stuff, & make up the calorie difference with more servings of fruit/potatoes/rice, whatever.

• make up the calorie difference with lesser quality animal products, like grass/corn fed beef, pasterized dairy, etc.

(i'm not counting premade burger patties, sausages, liquid eggs, etc, that are filled with "solutions," basically seed oil fillers to make up some of the fat content...I'd literally just eat more potatoes 😂)

I don’t know what to think. Carnivore really seems to help people thrive, but I don’t know if that’s because that is what is best for us or if it’s because most people who try it are detoxing from years of garbage food.

It seems like you can find examples of historical people all over the world with completely different mixes of dietary make up who were strong and resilient. If there is one thing about animal foods, it does seem to make people taller over time. Especially beef and milk.

Yes! Could be that meat is the least "messed with" food we have.

The book Sacred Cow had this to say on the topic of grass fed vs other beef. But I would take it with a grain of salt and still choose grass fed when I can.

yeahhh the obsession people have with "proof" is so funny to me. I don't need any more wisdom than nature knows best, and I always ask myself what an animal would eat if humans didn't exist.

Exactly Jennie! Who needs a study? Just use the head on your shoulders! #grassfed #proofofsteak #foodstr

Yeah, this quote from Sacred Cow is complete rubbish. Commercially grown cattle are fed 1. GMO crops which are drenched in Glyphosate, Dicamba and all sorts of other horrible chemicals. These modern chemicals are systemic and are present in the entire plant. The cattle stand knee deep in feedlots breathing toxic fumes and eating corn which makes them so sick they have to be treated with medicine so they stay alive. Then they are given asthma medicines which are illegal in 150 countries to make them gain extra weight right before slaughter. Now, contrast that with true Grassfed beef (of course what you get in the supermarket is not truly Grassfed). Grassfed cattle roam the land eating a wide variety of native forbs and grasses. All these native plants have a variety of nutritional and medicinal qualities of which you will receive a small dose. So, use your powers of analysis and tell me which you would prefer for you and your family. Nobody needs a fancy study! Anybody can figure it out with a small amount of common sense. #proofofsteak #grassfed #
