I wasn't paying attention earlier but I'm about to ditch my Samsung s23.
So is the Google pixel the only phone you can put graphene on, or is there a better phone situation these days? Tell me best thing.

Pixel 9a is the way to go. $500 unlocked
So pixel 9a, install graphene, then who to get as a provider? They all suck but there are "freedom" oriented providers now. I just don't know who's who.
silent.link is only one I know
Also, I don't like that Google phones have mandatory Gemini AI bullshit on them that you can't turn off.
Graphene doesnβt have ai
Oh yeah, if its wiped and a whole new system, it wouldnt. Duh
Yes sir you are going to enjoy it. Itβs so clean.
I use βobtainiumβ for app updates
Check Graphene forums for helpful tips as well.
Might watch some tutorials on how to correctly enable Google services and such- if you intend to use it as your main device and still need banking apps.
Or consider having a normie phone + a private phone
https://silent.link (no-kyc)
https://www.usmobile.com/plans
(Able to swap networks, cheap $25 unlimited plans, herd/normie option)
Also, this sounds good
You can just use it as a wifi device. Don't strictly *need* a provider. But yes, pixel is the only option if you want grapheneos
I don't think pixel is available where I am. Is it the only option?
Only option for Graphene OS yesβ¦
Google sells it worldwide I thought. Try the official Google store
for better opsec, buy it in cash or prepaid card at Best Buy in person if near USA metros. wear mask, sun glasses, and a hat
Google Store is a KYC option that ties your identity to the devices IMEI bumber whoch is shared and activity recorded with cellular providers
currently itβs pixel only, but this year google made it harder for nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5 to develop which caused them to find another phone manufacturer. I donβt know which one. Current pixels will be supported as promised. Status for upcoming pixel phones is unclear to me.
Hmm. Seems like the walls are closing in.
