A violinist played for 45 minutes in the New York subway. A handful of people stopped, a couple clapped, and the violinist raised about $30 in tips.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. In that subway, Joshua played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.

Two days before he played in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out a Boston theatre, and the seats averaged about $100.

The experiment proved that the extraordinary in an ordinary environment does not shine and is so often overlooked and undervalued.

There are brilliantly talented people everywhere who aren't receiving the recognition and reward they deserve. But once they arm themselves with value and confidence and remove themselves from an environment that isn’t serving them, they thrive and grow.

I dont think i would be a good sex worker

Try taking a photo of your own butt that people want to see, and we can find out.

Also if you think that's bad, try being an artist.

I remember reading about this at the time. Fucking insane but also completely understandable.

1. All progress happens at the margins.

2. Most people don't have good taste or enough experience to understand what good looks like in a given field.

3. Hence, most people are just waiting for someone to tell them what they should like/enjoy/pay for so that they can show others how "cultured" or "important" they are.

Sort of sad but that's humans in modern society.

there's also the fact that nobody knew who it was and even if they did they probably wouldn't have cared

Possible, but given music moves most people you'd have hoped that at least a few people would cop on that they were seeing something extraordinary.

there probably was... some poor homeless beggars nearby

This is a nice post, you put on the bottom, "Go where you are appreciated and valued." Your doing Nudes, and you were a sex worker. Why not write about your experiences? Tell a story, most people don't even touch this field. You had a stalker? There ya go another story. Your throwing up your products, with no story, brand and reason. Just generic stuff. Nobody cares about that, plus it's expensive. Instead of bi*ching, why not try learning something? Any hoe can come here and post nude, that's just free stuff to men like me. Give me a reason why you're different.

There is another interpretation and I relate it to restaurants.

There is a list of the 50 best restaurants and making it to that list guarantees a waiting list for tables stretching over months or years.

Yet, food is subjective. There is good food and there is bad food which is less up for interpretation. However one persons best restaurant is another's OK eatery.

If you're good, that becomes obvious. If you're considered the best, this is subjective and open to interpretation.

Exceptions to this are things like boxing. At the time Mike Tyson was the best boxer in the world, simply because everybody that took him on got knocked out.

Apple is the most successful technology company in the world, but not everybody likes Macs or iPhones

The violinist above is good, even very good. But being the one of the best in the world is only by consensus and only while in vogue.

debes encontrar el lugar donde eres más valorado

1. NY sucks 2. People aren't in the subway to listen and pay for a violinist concert. But they are at the theater to do just that. Even if it's the best talent in the world, people are traveling and trying to get somewhere and aren't carrying lots of money (bc it's NY and crime..). If I was there (which I wouldn't be), I would pause, say wow that guy is so talented, then check to make sure i'm on time, I know where to go, I have enough money for the ticket, maybe drop an extra buck or two if I have them, then get the f outta there.

But I think this was sort of your point
