Are you asking for a filter to show Patreon links or a filter to block them?
can you do both?
Yeah but blocking isn't really setup, though it makes sense to let people choose sites to block for various reasons. Filtering for Patreon is very simple. In fact, you can already do it. If you click search 🔎 and just enter patreon.com as the query it will find all notes linking to it.
Probably some how, though restricted content with Fountain is a bit harder.

I wonder if in the future you could run a paid relay where you drop your content first so that way you could avoid giving Patreon a cut
I don’t mind giving them a cut, the platform is super useful.
That’s fair, I’m still curious if it’s possible for those who are geographically restricted from using Patreon, or would it just make more sense for them to run their own website, maybe fountain can offer ppv podcasts or subscriptions in the future

Nope, there is no infrastructure setup to easily manage this. If someone makes it I’ll test it.

The Patreon approach is much more scalable and less corruptible. The BlockFi, Gemini Earn and FTX blow ups especially I am sure don’t feel good. Having personally benefited from your content for 5 years in a way that has changed my paradigm for observing the world, even $50 a month seems like a small contribution. I say this after being impacted by the BlockFi bankruptcy as a result of your podcast. Keep churning out more content. Invite folks to become Patrons. They will come.
