That’s a good point. Some of them I hadn’t even gotten to read yet, but a number of others were really just that I wanted physical copies of the books in did the narration for. But there were still a number of books that I had read already and just liked having “in my collection.”

Would be worth rethinking what is needed vs what isn’t. Appreciate the thought.

I used to also collect books (as trophies?), but then I was moving a bunch and traveling and they would just sit in a rented storage unit anyway, so I gave lot of those away.

I have a folder with digital copies of all books I read (multiple of them "stolen" from zlib and Anna's Archive, but imo fair game since I had those). I have this folder synced across devices with syncthing. I also have a digital note with the list of the books and when I finished them (Goodreads is a good option for this, but I like self hosted)

indeed, i am in a temporary situation of stability due to gtfo of the city and off the continent, and i'm going to accumulate books for a while but i'm not leaving one of them if i am beckoned away
