Serious ponderings on this Friday afternoon...do I customize my bat'leth (scarf) handles with a fun crazy yarn or do I stay traditional with boring brown yarn πŸ€”. #knitstr #knit #startrek

Lol, I'm nowhere near ready for the handles. My mind was wandering while knitting. I'll have to go stash diving for fun yarns...I'll keep you...posted πŸ˜†. I'm thinking a fun multi with pinks and purples though.

+1 need photo

I'll dig and update in a bit!

The way you word it makes me think you've already made a decision! πŸ€” why not the crazy yarn??

πŸ˜‚ I'm always for the crazy yarn...I just worry about crazy Trekkies attacking me because I ruined it...(not really)

Honestly, it just came to me that I could do it while I was knitting and then the possibilities got a bit overwhelming 😬.

Haha I think by the time you get to that part you'll have a pretty good idea of what would work and look great!

This Trekkie thinks crazy yarn could be cool.

A Bat'leth should reflect the Soul of the one who wields it so customize as you see fit πŸ‘€

Happy to receive your blessings on this. Purple handles incoming πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Never boring. Terrible choice. Have fun and enjoy. Whatever you want is the thing to do

πŸ’œπŸ’œ great advice!

Random Stranger: "What kind of scarf is that?"

Yarnlady: "It's a bat'leth (Klingon: betleH, rough pronunciation: [ˈbΙ›tΚ°lΙ›x]; plural betleHmey, [ˈbΙ›tΚ°lΙ›xmΙ›j][1]), which is a double-sided hybrid-edged weapon with a curved blade, four points, and three handholds on the back. It was designed and created by Star Trek: The Next Generation visual effects producer Dan Curry for the Star Trek franchise, where it is the characteristic close combat weapon of Klingons. Curry has called the bat'leth "one of the iconic images associated with the show." It has spawned a smaller weapon, which became known as the mek'leth; in Klingon, this is written meqleH. A third weapon, a kur'leth, was later designed by Dan Curry, for Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard. Bat'leths have become an enduring symbol of the franchise among fans, and they are occasionally referenced in other media."

Random Stranger: "Oh, it has purple handles. That's kind of weird."

I see nowhere in here that says brown handles are a must...
