My dad had an old Jeep Wagoneer that had the little tilt windows. They really were pretty great.
My favorite passive cooling thing ever though was on an Isuzu NPR box truck. In the roof of the cab it had a little door flap that with the turn of a knob could be opened forward to scoop air in, or opened backwards to vent air out, with directional fins under it to aim air at the driver & passenger.
