Great post! Nice to see another hardcore ad block advocate. For me personally, if the media I want to consume isn't available in a low-cost, registration-free, ad-free format, I either use BitTorrent or pass on it all together. This applies to books, TV shows, movies, and poscasts. I'm happy to pay creators directly in Bitcoin though.
The CEO of rumble says:
"everyone was like you, you'd put Rumble out of business"
👀
he's not wrong, and that's been actually my goal because I don't support corporations. I rarely ever get a subscription from a corporation.
I'm not sure exactly what he's talking about saying rumble doesn't make money from tips. From what I know, there is no tipping system on rumble. He must be thinking that I meant donations. He doesn't understand the nostr tipping/zapping system.
I use ad blocker, and stream on nostr , so I don't see the point of getting a rumble subscription especially since it's 9.99 USD a month. Way to expensive. Rumble won't last far into the future. Their money will dry up as people move away from stocks and into Bitcoin instead. The future belongs to small websites like zap stream and decentralized streaming which even then, we won't require zap stream.
