maybe it's because alby added invite codes so you can no longer easily connect a new alby wallet, at least from Damus? xD

This is a lot of it. I have been bouncing around using various methods ever since the invite thing. I personally am also concerned about gov involvement after that. Everyone else needed to bail out of the US, but somehow not Alby? This is also why I want a hardware signer. But maybe my tinfoil hat is just too tight.
