If I was a farmer I wonder whether I would still dream of traveling the world, or be content with my fields.

Why couldn't you be content with your fields & travel the world?

There’s a really young guy in this kind of documentary called Clarkson Farm (would recommend) that has no want of leaving the Cotswolds - I don’t blame him though, it’s beautiful out there 🫂 He doesn’t even want to ever come to London cos it’s too many people. He’s just happy doing what he does and it made me wonder if I had been born out there, would I want for anything else? Maybe I’d think London had too many people too and I’d never step foot in it. Strange to think about but I like to wonder 🫂

a wholesome and worthwhile life for sure.

i’d consider it for a stage of time. maybe when i’m older and less excited and curious about the world.

cabin in the woods holds equal or greater appeal to me personally.

I think so too. I know I’d be restless though 🥹🫂 but for a while it would be a lovely getaway I agree

i often wish i could just live many parallel lives.

in one i’d be a bartender in a big city. no fancy ambitions, just a simple life pouring drinks and talking to cool people.

in another id run away to the wilderness and start living naturally off the land.

a life where i dance professionally.

and one where i claim no home base and perpetually travel by buses and trains.

i believe in reincarnation so i guess that desire was and will be satisfied but i still crave it idk

Not a farmer. I am from what was historically a farming community even though that’s changed. I travel every so often. Once or twice a year. Usually in this state or the next. Thinking about another trip to Europe in the next couple years. I’d still be happy if it worked out that I never went more than 30 miles from where I was born again. And really 20 miles from where I’ve lived my whole life. Plenty to do here and I have my books. I don’t go to the city I was born in much, I never lived there I was just born there, to many people and more importantly traffic to go there regularly at ~150,000. I’ll hit the outskirts for a movie or to go shopping every now and then.

This sounds lovely 🫂🙏🏽

It’s why I could never dream of being a farmer.

A wolf would be a verrrry sus farmer 🫂👀😂

😂👌

One of the farmers I know wrote a book called "The secret life of cows". It got quite famous due to Alan Bennet writing about it so the publisher sent her to Jersey to do a book signing.... she told me it was quite an adventure leaving the farm for even a few days as she hadn't even been on a plane before 😁

This is absolutely wonderful! 🥹🫂 adding this to my TBR list, and I hope she had a wonderful time ❤️‍🔥 🙏🏽

Rosamund Young is her name if it makes easier to find. Her farm helped influence the king to make all his estate fully organic.

Thank you! 🫂😁 that’s fantastic 🔥

We can do both.
