My wife caught a swarm of bees this morning at the local rodeo.
They were talking about spraying them with raid to kill them but luckily one of the staff told them not to and called her up..
Our kids got to put on suits for the first time so they could see her transferring them to a new hive up close. They were quite stoked.
Hopefully the bees like their new home and stick around. We need all the pollinators we can get!

Keeping bees seems so rewarding. I sometimes think about moving to a rural area and keeping my own bee colony.
Hey it’s doable even in a city (which is where we are). Also I have a friend with no yard that keeps hives at the local organic farms.

Haha obviously they’re just adult suits on tiny guys.
When I first saw them come out to work in their suits I was smiling so big. They were proud of finally being included in bee work and not told to stand back
