My first attempt was edible, but not exactly great. Unfortunately, I have to fly out for work next week, so I don't really have time to keep messing with it. But when I get back from this work trip, I plan on making more tortillas.

i think its like pasta. once you get a decent working method, you spend the next decade tweaking it 🙂

After my first attempt, I would tend to agree with that analogy.

i had a gig some years back making batches of fresh pasta on Sundays for a local restaurant. i got to the point where i could see how the ambient humidity would affect the texture. 😂 im going to be less intense with the tortillas

That's one of the skills where my game is definitely lacking. Despite working in a fancy Italian restaurant for six years of my life, they never put me on pasta duty. I was always doing prep or line cook. And so I never really got to pick up the intricacies of pasta making.

you’d get it in a weekend. its all about the size of the little dough balls that form in the first mix.

Oh no two days of tacos whatever will I dooooo. 🤣
