My son came up to me and asked “why do you like your phone so much? Because you’re an adult?”

Made me feel terrible for looking at this damn thing so much and setting a bad example.

Also sad to realize that he’ll probably be doing the same unless we build options to turn off addictive functionality.

I need to do better.

Considering that we're heading towards singularity, you might soon be looking out from inside the screen, wondering whether it was ever any different. So what's "better"? And is it better, if it couldn't have been considered "better" 100 years back, or in the future - where the technology did not, or no longer exists?
