I flag the post as “illegal content” and mute the user. Maybe seeing this content is opening my eyes to just how widespread the problem is, IDK. But when I saw what appeared to be a nine year old with a grown man’s dick in her mouth I felt like I needed to reach out to you directly. I know you are not responsible for, or can control content. Maybe we can have a zapathon to pay you for your time wherein kiddie porn has it’s own flag which will be sent to the authorities. IDK the answer and I’m looking for ideas, but we need your help. What can we as Damus users and you as the developer do to hunt down and neutralize the part of humanity that should be erased from existence?

Child predators should be slowly lowered into a wood chipper and I mean as slowly as possible, feet first, with frequent pauses. Free speech is wonderful and I will tolerate a lot including a ton of shit I disagree with.
There are some things though, that go past "free speech" and predating upon a child sexually is one of them. There are not many but this is one of them.
May be I can put it this way, even if you we said it should be considered "free speech", (people are free to say it) the people that say it don't need censorship they need FUCKIN DEATH in a slow miserable way.
Say we know a guy murdered 20 innocent people and he pops up on twitter and posts pictures that show himself guilty and he confesses in a video. I don't want him censored I want him chained to a mill stone by his neck and set at low tide at the beech at a spot that will put his head about 1 inch under the water at the next high tide.
Oh and not the next high tide the big one about three days out. If he doesn't die of dehydration by day three the tides will do him in. BTW a pedo of one child would get harsher treatment from me than the guy above who killed 20 people.

Don’t get me wrong. I feel your ideas about what to do with a child predator are appropriate. Maybe insufficient! I was asking on a more technical level. I’m very new to Noster, and only started following because of your podcast. Can you technically educate me on the question I have? fr example, Just as a bitcoin wallet pubkey can somewhat be tied to an individual how can Nostr pubkeys be tied to an individual? That image really affected me. I wouldn’t take personal action unless it was an actual member of my family. However, as an educator, I look to you for answers about something we as a community might be able to do?
This could be an attack on nostr to demonize it. I don't know. I'm sure some idiots can't help but share, but I also know this is an easy way to smear the network. There are corporate/government trolls out there.

I’ve stopped the pic’s from loading automatically and scroll and filter carefully. What I mean by filter is reading the text attached to the image. I’ve had the same experience when I first started a few days ago, images I don’t want to see ! It soured me to this tool at first, but everything is an Op until proven otherwise. It was a mistake on my part not to take note of who posted this image, emotions kicked in. Next time I’ll point out this public key for posting this crap . Nostr Community shaming would be my first choice rather then a centralized authority. However it’s an opportunity for devs to solve this problem. Perhaps some sort of biased against pedos AI image or content reader that warns the reader and identifies the perp. Just throwing ideas, EBay does well with the ranking’s system or at least it did to keep the market free . Thanks to that nut job hippie duck farmer, I’ll be following his path in AI self directed learning. Maybe I could come up with a solution that keeps the evil out and the free market in

I’m guessing you’ve heard about the “Sound of Freedom” movie coming out about rescuing trafficked kids to pedos- the majority of whom are in the US?
I just watched the Jordan Peterson interview with the sound of freedom guy and the actor in the movie. That’s some dark stuff. But, since Peterson’s got a lot of clinical experience, it was informative to hear what he had to say about the pathology of such monsters who would do such things.
